16. Taking Care of Your Prints

1. Archival Protection

All of Aaron Wulf's photos are printed using the latest in digital printing technology.

All Limited Edition images are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive (FCA) or Kodak Endura paper. Tests show that FCA & Endura prints will last 71 years before noticeable fading occurs (in normal display conditions). These papers are two of the finest available in the world.

Each print is created on a LightJet Type C printer. In conjunction with the FCA/Endura paper, this process allows prints to maintain their vibrant colors, contrast, and sharpness, staying true to the image Aaron captured -- while creating lasting print permanence.

All prints that are framed (and first matted) use only archival, acid-free mat boards and materials to ensure your prints will last for many years to come.

It is important to note that the quality of the final prints far exceeds what you are able to see on your computer monitor.

2. Open Edition 8"x12” Prints

Aaron feels everyone should be able to own one of his photographs -- whether you're a collector or not. So he created the Open Edition Collection.

What distinguishes these from the Limited Edition prints is that these are NOT signed or numbered. They are only offered in the 8"x12” size and are printed on Kodak Endura paper, which is an industry standard of excellence. You may order these prints framed or unframed.

Framed prints also use archival, acid-free mat boards and materials to ensure your prints will last for many years to come.

3. Limited Edition Fine Art Prints

All Limited Edition fine art prints are individually signed and numbered by Aaron on the photo. Only 400 prints are offered of each image across all sizes in the FCA/Endura process -- in addition to artist proofs. After all numbers of the edition are sold, the image will never again be printed as such. This ensures that your investment maintains its value, and this is the best choice for collectors.

Each of these images is accompanied by a corresponding Certificate of Authenticity.

Prices varies by size and quantity sold. Prices will increase by 25% for every 80 photos sold in each edition. They are available as loose prints -- or matted and framed in either the standard glass or with the Museum glass.

4. Photograph sizes

The sizes listed in conjunction with the online images are the only sizes currently offered. This refers to the approximate image size. Matting and framing adds to the outside image dimension.

5. Matting and Framing

Our Limited Edition photographic prints are framed with the highest quality materials available. Acid-free mats for conservation are always used -- in addition to elegant wood frames. A staff of professional framers bevel-cut the museum quality mats to ensure their perfection. Every image is carefully inspected to meet our highest standards.

Mats and frames are always selected to complement each other. The design team stays on the conservative side -- in order to prevent your image from having to compete with the mat and frame. They understand it is the image that you are trying to showcase, not the other way around.

6. Museum Glass

This is the highest quality glass available on the market. Many of the most prestigious institutions and museums in the world use this to present their images as clearly as possible. The glass appears invisible -- giving you a nearly unobstructed view of your photograph -- while providing the highest level of UV protection available. If reflection poses a problem for you, we recommend the Museum Glass.

7. Our Guarantee

No computer screen can do justice to what a fine-art print will look like in person. And it's important to us that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. We're confident that you will be extremely pleased with the quality of the final photograph, but we offer a 30-day “no hassle” refund or exchange policy to assure you.

If you are dissatisfied for any reason, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your print before shipping it back to us. Prints must be returned in the original condition and packaging -- and will be required to have proper insurance on the item, as well as a return authorization number from us. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

8. Shipping Times

All prints, regardless of edition and size, are custom produced. Aaron personally inspects every print to ensure it is of the absolute highest quality, and all images are shipped in the same manner.

Limited Edition fine art prints usually ship within 10 days. Our goal is to deliver framed prints within 2 weeks of receiving your order. However, shipping times will vary based on your destination, how it is shipped, and the order.

9. Shipping Costs

16. Taking Care of Your Prints

Below you will find instructions for the care and display of your print for the optimum results.

Hanging Your Artwork:

Each of the framed prints on aaronwulf.com come with wall/picture hangers. Depending on the material of the wall you place your artwork on, the wall hangers may or may not support the frame -- regardless of the strength of the hangers. It is always recommended that you do not place your hangers in dry wall, in particular. The lack of strength in this material often does not support the weight of your frame, and you risk having your artwork fall.

Protection From Light:

The best way to protect your print is to keep it away from Ultraviolet (UV) light. Sunlight is one of the worst offenders, causing years of irreversible damage in a very short time. However, certain artificial lights -- such as fluorescent or halogen lamps -- contain UV light, too.

The most recommended display condition is an area with low light levels. Ordinary household lamps (such as those containing incandescent or tungsten bulbs) are fine. However, since these bulbs give off heat, they should not be placed near the artwork.

There are special, inexpensive filters that you can purchase to screen out the UV rays. Windows can be treated with a UV-absorbing film cover to screen out harmful rays, too. Your best bet to protect from these dangerous rays is to purchase a framing glass that filters out the harmful UV rays; we recommend the Museum glass, which we offer, because it filters out 98% of these harmful rays. But we also recommend that you don't place your photographs in the path of direct sunlight.

Protection From Humidity and Temperature Factors:

Often overlooked is how heat and humidity can destroy your precious photos. Whether you are displaying or storing your artwork, it's very important that the area is dry and the temperature remains steady. A fluctuation in temperature may encourage mold growth and warp the paper the photo is printed on.

Handling:

Our hands contain natural oils that keep our skin smooth. Always avoid touching the print surface -- as fingerprints are very difficult to remove. If you must handle your print, cotton gloves are recommended.

Cleaning Your Frame:

Never spray a glass cleaner directly onto the frame. Apply it to a cloth first before wiping the glass.
